Our decision maker President Trump has so many tricks in his sleeves to avoid talking about the banning of the high power rifles and guns used in killing the innocent School going children. Instead, he has come with the new ways of curbing School carnage. Eureka! Eureka !!, (found it, found it) he shouted like the legendary Archimedes as President Trump rushed out from his Jacuzzi with a solution to solve Gun Crisis.

He proclaimed that all robust and willing teachers should be allowed to arm themselves so that they CAN FIGHT COMBAT WITH THE INTRUDERS AND SAVE THE SCHOOL CHILDREN FROM MASSACRES BY GUNS AND THUS SAVE THE DAY. He even wanted ex-marines and soldiers to become teachers. He even discussed this idea in his welcome speech for the Prime Minister of Australia.

Many teachers refused and protested against these diversion tactics of the real issues of controlling the high-power or super guns. Here are some points to ponder on his suggestion of arming the teachers:

1. The killers of the School Children are not insane. They plan the details of the killing, then they buy the superpower guns with tons of ammunition and blast the shreds of the innocent school going children for normally personal grudge and retaliating to the actions taken by the school against them. Their strategic plan of massacres is diluted by our President, who blame the carnage on the insanity of the killer. The NRA executives and most of the Republican Senators and other congressmen from both parties shun this topic as their elections are funded by the NRA membership money.

2. What is stopping these killers to launch a surprise attack on the School going children while they are playing on the playground? The armed teachers may be sitting elsewhere as sitting duck in their offices or staff room.

3. For every armed confrontation, there is a chance of 50% kill on each side. The parents of the School going children can’t live with this high percentage of risk and carnage. But if the guns are not easily available, the probability of the carbage become a way low. If about 200 superpower guns are banned and retrieved, the chances of the killing like that one that happened in Las Vegas are reduced to less than 5%.

4. This concept of fighting fire with fire how meritorious it maybe it can go wrong. If guns are banned or are put in the hands of the responsible individuals, chances of mass killing shall be reduced to a negligible level. Today it is difficult to buy drugs without Doctor’s prescription, but it is far easier to buy guns in the open market and in garage sales. Let the responsible persons with how to respect guns may be allowed to have guns.

5. The real tragedy is that why our President, Congressmen and the executives of the NRA are trying to avoid the real issue of how to limit the availability of guns in the hands of the sickos. Why everyone is avoiding the very world of banning the guns particularly banning 200 Superguns which can shower bullets like cats and dogs rain. Are they waiting to take the action only after their own children are killed in these gruesome rain of bullets?

6 These high powered guns in the hands of the children, adults and ruffians and terrorists had killed scores of people in one sitting. Even the Police avoid facing the bullets coming out of the muzzles of the guns. This scenario happened in Florida School recently where the armed Police keep on sitting duck while children were being killed one by one by the irate ex-student.

7 The armed teachers are not a good example of the School going Children who are in the years of building the character of trusting others, loving others and discovering what is meant by compassion and comradeship. Schools normally don’t teach the students about the merits and demerits of the gun shooting. School Teachers are a special class of the people in our society who are not interested in warfare, petty quarrels. and they love and promote peace. They are only concerned with teaching and educating the future generation of the country. Don’t make a militia out of these teachers. Teachers are not the mercenary clans.
